We rent Shelter Houses at Ted Lewis Park, Barthelmas Park, Mary Virginia Crites Hannan Park and Smith Park. Rental forms are available in our Parks Department Office located at 104 E. Franklin Street and on the City’s website. All reservations must be paid for in advance in order to reserve a date. Contact the Parks Department at 474-9502 to check availability. In order to reserve the Pavilion, we require a completed shelter rental form, payment and damage deposit be submitted simultaneously. Rental costs vary depending on season and day of the week. From October 1 through March 31, rentals include heat and the cost is $150.00 per time slot on weekends and holidays. The two time slots are 9AM-2PM or 4PM-9PM.
From April 1 to September 30, the rental cost is $220.00 per time slot and does not include heat. Monday-Thursday rentals are $25.00 per hour, plus $25.00 heat surcharge for rentals during the season that runs October 1 through March 31. If you are renting the Pavilion for an event that is open to the public, additional rules and requirements apply. No alcohol is allowed in any city park and is considered a misdemeanor.
Parents/Guardians: Please do not let underage children use this equipment.
You assume all risk and responsibility for the use of exercise equipment in this park.Consult your physician prior to starting any physical fitness training program.The city does not provide any supervision for the use of the equipment.Any potential users with known adverse health conditions should not use this equipment.Before using the equipment, check for loose parts, breaks, cracks or other conditions needing attention. Please call 477-8200 to report any problems.Perform exercises according to instructions on each piece of the equipment.Breathe normally during physical activity.Perform resistance exercises according to instructions in a slow, controlled manner over the full range of motion. Performing the movements too quickly may result in an injury.During exercise, pay close attention to how your body feels. If pain or discomfort occurs, STOP EXERCISING IMMEDIATELY.Rest and recovery are important between sets and exercises. Allow 2 minutes of rest between exercises or sessions.Keep a safe distance from exercise equipment when in use by others.Wear proper footwear when using the equipment.Do not use when wet.The City of Circleville shall not be liable for any personal injury to any person resulting from the use of exercise equipment in the park.
